Grum's Peanut Butter
Blossom Cookies
Beat butter and peanut butter in a large bowl
until well blended. Add in sugar and brown
sugar. Beat until light & fluffy.
Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat well.
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt
in another bowl; gradually beat dry mix into
peanut butter mixture.
Cover tightly and chill for 4-8 hours in fridge.
Preheat oven to 375.
Pour some sugar in a bowl and
uncover the dough. Spoon out and shape the
dough into 1'' balls.
Roll each ball in sugar and then place
them on a cookie sheet (do not grease).
Note: I usually take a fork and press it (twice)
into the dough ever so slightly in a cross pattern. It makes a nice
place for you to place the kiss.
Unwrap chocolate kisses between each tray
(so they're ready when the cookies come out of the
oven).
Bake 8 to 10 min.(I bake them between 7 or 9 min)
or until lightly brown.
Immediately press a chocolate piece into
center of each cookie. Cookies will crack slightly
around the edges. Let stand on cookie sheet for 3 to 4 min,
then remove from sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
Enjoy!
